We were delighted recently to welcome a journalist and photographer from the Daily Telegraph, for a feature on choir schools' preparations for the busy Christmas period. And even more so that the journalist was former pupil and chorister Eleanor Doughty!
Congratulations to everyone involved in the Senior Production of 'A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream'. The performances were impressively mature, with superb characterisation and many examples of outstanding comic timing! We also enjoyed a wonderful set, and creative light and sound design, courtesy of talented Sixth Formers.
Boys and girls from the Pre-Prep entertained patients at St Barnabas Day Centre as part of their Christmas festivities. The children sang a selection of songs from the recent Nativity productions and some festive carols that all could join in. The children brought a smile to everyone’s faces - well done!
British racing driver and LMS alumni Jack Harvey has won the prestigious Earl Howe Trophy at the 2014 British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC) Awards. The award is presented to the highest placed British driver in the Indy 500 race, or to the British driver who has established the most meritorious performance of the year in North America.
Prep School celebrated its final Chapter House assembly for the term this morning. We were entertained by Edward and Daniela, who played the violin beautifully for us. We also welcomed two special guests, Mr and Mrs Goodwin from the Royal British Legion. They had visited earlier in the term to judge our House competition and House Captains, Leo and Winnie proudly presented a cheque for £621.90.
