'Pretty Muddy' for charity

Hats off to staff members Becky Skelton and Verlie Campbell who completed the womens' 'Pretty Muddy' 5k obstacle course in aid of Cancer Research at the weekend.  This is the latest in a series of charity events that the pair have taken part in, including the 5k Colour Run earlier in the summer.  Becky said "We did it!  So far we have raised £810 – thank you so much to all of you that have sponsored us and supported us along the way! You’re wonderful!"

There is still time to sponsor if you would like to, at https://www.justgiving.com/TeamVB14/

Congratulations to Alison Mackender, Girls' Games teacher, who completed the Great North Run yesterday for Kidney Research. "I managed to run all the way in 2 1/4 hours - as I read on the way round, 'pain is temporary, pride is forever'! Huge thanks to everyone who supported me and wished me well."

It's not too late to add to the fundraising total!  Sponsor Alison here: http://www.kidneyresearchuk.org/get-involved/events/AlisonsGreatNorthRun
