Mrs Wafer writes: 'The fifth Drama Summer School will take place Monday 13 - Friday 17 July, 10am-3pm, and will be open to pupils from Years 6 to 11. The cost will be £100, to be paid in full by June 26 or in four instalments of £25. The aim, once again, will be to produce a Play in a Week!
Just one year after having our own hockey pitch, Lincoln Minster Boys hockey has made such incredible progress that they have been crowned Lincolnshire U16 Champions!
Excitement is building in school as plans are put in place transform an impressive Victorian home into a mixed junior boarding house. The Mount, on Wragby Road, was built in 1874 and has until recently been home to the Roman Catholic Sisters of Providence.
Year 2 began their Chinese topic ‘Follow the Dragon’ with a very exciting 'WOW' day! They learnt some very impressive dance moves using Chinese ribbons. There were a few knots and tangles to begin with but they soon got the hang of Chinese ribbon dancing and were able to co-ordinate their moves following the rhythm of the Chinese music.
Pupils from Years 8-10 have begun work on The Accordion Shop. The play, written by Cush Jumbo, who is currently rehearsing on Broadway with Hugh Jackman, has been commissioned by the National Theatre, as part of the Connections Festival. We will be performing the play on Monday 9 March at 7.00 p.m. in the Watkins Hall, and then at the Sheffield Crucible Theatre at 7.15 pm on Tuesday 24 March.
