The whole school's Chinese New Year celebrations continue today as the Senior School foyer is festooned with red streamers and lanterns. Pre-Prep and Prep marked the occasion prior to the half term holiday with lunches, activities, workshops and assemblies. At Prep School, the House Music Competition was a sea of kimonos as everyone wore special clothes - or something red, at least!
Year 8's Drama Club performed their adaptation of Alan Ayckbourn’s “Ernie’s Incredible Illucinations” on Wednesday. With Felicity taking the role of the teenager whose daydreams keep becoming reality, the play was retitled “Annie’s Incredible Illucinations”, and was fast-moving, very funny and skilfully performed by all involved.
We have been delighted to welcome an array of inspiring visitors to school this half term. Year 10 have been visited by Everest climber Bonita Norris, and representatives of Christian Aid who spoke about injustice, discrimination and their overseas work in Ethiopia and Berundi.
