Avalon Summerfield
Freelance Classical Singer.

After leaving Lincoln Minster School, Avalon read Music at the University of York, graduating in 2015 with a First Class BA(Hons). Since graduating, she has forged a busy career teaching singing across the East Midlands and performing as a classical soprano. Avalon also cofounded a new and exciting music festival, Leicester MusicFest, in March 2017.

From September 2017, Avalon will be studying (with a scholarship) at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, for a Masters in Performance. Avalon was awarded a VOCES8 Scholarship in 2016, as well as Stile Antico’s inaugural bursary for young singers in 2015.

She has performed at a number of prestigious venues as far afield as China, including the Tower of London and the Royal Albert Hall. She has also performed on numerous CD recordings and BBC radio broadcasts.

Avalon hopes to establish herself as a professional soprano in London, and perform the music she is most passionate about.

Avalon was at Lincoln Minster School her entire school career, and this undoubtedly shaped her interests and skills, in particular the Choristership at Lincoln Cathedral.
