Home to our younger boarders to Year 8 (mixed boys and girls to Year 6)
James Street is set in a prime location in the shadow of the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral. It is a beautiful building steeped in history, dating back to the 13th century.
Lynda Smith, Housemistress
"I was born and educated in Brighton, East Sussex and educated at Westlain Grammar School, and I hold the Certificate in Physical Education from Chelsea PE College.
"Having worked in boarding for 26 years, 16 as a Housemistress, I have been Housemistress at Lincoln Minster School for the past seven years and currently also teach PE and Games. At my previous school, Godstowe Prep School, I undertook the Boarding Schools Association's qualification for boarding staff and now hold the Certificate of Professional Practice in Boarding Education from the BSA in conjunction with Roehampton University."
Marilena Irimia
Marilena joins our boarding team as a full member of staff, following two hugely successful spells with us as a GAP student. This academic year will be her fourth year with us, and her second as a fully-fledged staff member. Marilena was the first GAP student from our school's HOST Project. She comes from Oravita in Romania and has a degree in French and English from Timisoara University. She is keen to begin work on her Masters but feels she needs to have some more experience first and the opportunity to think about what she would like to study. She is a delightful young girl, full of life and humour and gets along very well with everyone she meets. Her favorite statement is ‘Life is beautiful'.
Leah Coupland
Also part of the boarding team is Leah Coupland. Leah came to Lincoln Minster School in 2001 as a Year 7 boarding pupil and remained at the school until completing her A levels. After taking a year out, Leah returned to work in the School Reception for a year and is now embarking upon a teacher training course. We are delighted to have her as part of the boarding team and we feel that her own experience as a boarder at LMS is invaluable!
