Flexible boarding to suit your needs
At Lincoln Minster School, we strive to create a unique boarding culture where full, weekly and flexi-boarders have equal opportunities and are all treated as equal members of our boarding family.
Some of our boarders stay as full boarders and spend Monday to Sunday with us, while weekly boarders stay with us Monday to Friday. Flexi-boarders may board a set number of nights a week, eg Monday and Wednesday night every week, or may vary their nights as they see fit, with some boarders popping in only occasionally, if space permits. Many of our boarders also enjoy nights and weekends out with day friends.
Weekly boarding is available to pupils who live reasonably close to the school and prefer to return home at the weekend - this can be a great help if home is too far away for the daily journey to be reasonable.
Flexi-boarding allows any day pupil to enjoy the facilities and companionship of the boarding facilities periodically (a regular booking each week) or completely on demand (to cover a particular need). This facility allows day pupils to experience boarders' activities, to have a sleepover with friends, to solve the problem of needing to stay at school late on a particular day or simply to assist parents who might have a short-term commitment that takes them away from home.
