Home to our Senior boy boarders from Year 10 to 13

Lindum View is located opposite our brand new Music School and Sports Hall; literally a stone's throw away from The Prior building, our Senior School site. We look after boarders from Years 10 to 13 who enjoy our friendly, warm-hearted, easy-going, caring family atmosphere in which there is mutual respect between both the staff and boarders. The boys feel a real sense of belonging to the house and tell us that they find it a special 'home from home'.

Lindum View is blessed with first-class, experienced house staff who place great store in the importance of a sense of humour and a realistic outlook to life, balanced against the academic demands placed upon the pupils in such year groups.

Nigel Willetts, Head of Boarding, Housemaster, Teacher of ICT

"I was born and educated in Liverpool and began my working life as an indentured apprentice with British Coal. A serious knee injury curtailed my coal-mining career and I subsequently retrained as a teacher. I studied at Liverpool John Moores University where I obtained a BEd (Hons) Degree with Qualified Teacher Status. My subject specialism is ICT.

"I have a Master's Degree in Education and hold the Certificate of Professional Practice in Boarding Education from the BSA in conjunction with Roehampton University. I am also a member of the British Computer Society and a Microsoft Certified Professional. I was Chair of Governors at a Primary School in Liverpool.

"I am married and have three grown up children. My wife Sandra assists in the boarding house and has quite a reputation amongst the boarding community for her baking skills! I also have an irrational devotion to Everton Football Club!

"Lincoln Minster School is the third boarding school that I have taught in. I commenced my teaching career at Stonyhurst College, Lancashire, where I taught ICT to A level and was Housemaster of a Year 11 boys' boarding house. I was appointed Head of ICT at Sutton Valence School in Kent, where I was also a boarding house tutor to a Senior Boys Boarding House. As a qualified FA Coach, I was Director of Football at both Stonyhurst and Sutton Valence schools.  I joined Lincoln Minster School in September 2008 as Head of Boarding/Housemaster and teacher of ICT. I am passionate about boarding education and look forward to overseeing the exciting expansion and development of boarding at Lincoln Minster School."

Nina Watson, Assistant Housemistress

Miss Watson has a wealth of experience in boarding schools. A qualified Science teacher, she has taught in the UK, Gibraltar and Sudan.

Sue Deacon, Assistant Housemistress

Sue was born in Wales and educated in Taunton, Somerset and spent a number of years as a Police Officer with Somerset and bath Police Force. She moved to Lincoln after getting married and spent 18 years teaching flute at Scampton School. Now a School Governor at Scampton, Sue joined Lincoln Minster School in 2002 to work in our boarding houses. She still plays flute with Lincoln Concert Orchestra, sings in two choirs and is a member of the Ministry Team of Springline Parish

Jane Line, School Nurse

Jane was born in Tunbridge Wells and educated at Weald of Kent Grammar School. She trained as a Nurse at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London and has a wealth of experience within the nursing profession, including midwifery, children's oncology and as a Sister in a very busy A&E Department.

Jane's three children were all Choristers at Lincoln Minster School and Jane is currently employed as the School Nurse, a position that she took up in 2007. Jane also undertakes a boarding duty one evening per week and lives on site Monday to Friday, where she is on call for each of the boarding houses.

Jane herself is an accomplished musician, playing clarinet and piano, and having once played in a jazz band. She enjoys gardening, flower arranging, handcrafts and watercolour painting.
