Home to our girl boarders from Year 7 to 13
Eastgate House was bought by Lincoln Minster School in 2010. It is set in sizeable leafy grounds - an idyllic setting for the house which dates back to the 1830s - and currently provides a home for 21 girls between the ages of 10 and 18.
Linda Dykes, Housemistress, and Colin Dykes
Born and educated in South Africa, Mr and Mrs Dykes have lived in the UK since 2001. After teaching in London, in September 2004 they became the houseparents of the senior girls' boarding house.
Mr Dykes teaches Maths and Boys' PE and Games while Mrs Dykes has taught English, Drama and Religious Studies. At present she is working in the Learning Support Department. Prior to leaving South Africa, the couple taught at a co-educational independent high school where Mr Dykes (assisted by Mrs. Dykes) was housemaster of a boys' boarding house.
