Year Three children work together to create a exotic dish as part of an Egyptian cooking challenge.
The children worked together in small groups to follow a recipe and create an Egyptian dish; they had to work as a team without being told what to do.
The skills involved were discussing, listening, cooperating, following instructions and problem solving and after all of their hard work the children enjoyed a feast set for a Pharaoh.
The dishes prepared were Egyptian bread, Egyptian salad, Egyptian fruit salad and Salat Zabadee. We enjoyed sharing the dishes on our Egyptian mats whilst listening to Egyptian music.
