Our independent curriculum and progressive teaching give us the flexibility to tailor our approach to the needs of each individual child.

Lincoln Cathedral

Our students enjoy the privilege of assemblies, services and regular concerts and recitals in the magnificent Lincoln Cathedral - many even get to perform here. It is an awe-inspiring experience and one of the many wonderful memories that students take with them when they leave us and go onto rewarding careers.

Music is central to life at Lincoln Minster. Whether performing, learning or just enjoying, all our students are involved in musical events at the School or Cathedral and we have a huge selection of choirs and ensembles. Lincoln Minster School also provides choristers for the Lincoln Cathedral Choir and we regularly hold auditions for boys and girls to take up this wonderful opportunity.

Welcome from the Head of the School

Clive Rickart, Principal

"Lincoln Minster School is a family school where individuals come first, where all pupils have a role to play and a priority is placed on achievement. It is the people who make the school. There is no substitute for inspired, quality teaching, motivated pupils, supportive parents and governors - all the people who care.

"The most important element of this school, 'the heart', is our sense of community which stresses a belonging, an affection and a proud spirit. As a school community we must be demanding, challenging, and clear in the direction of travel, demonstrating a mutual respect, honesty, integrity and spiritual dimension. In all of this we are driven by one thing: a deep love of children.

"This new website should give you lots of information and inspiration. But please do bear in mind that the website will evolve as the year unfolds. We appreciate your feedback so if there is anything you would like to see on these pages, please get in touch."

Testimonials

“It has always been important to us that both our son and daughter (who left 6 years ago!) be allowed to grow up surrounded by the values that we hold dear as a family. The school's philosophy of developing the whole person has always been very much in sync with home life. Consequently the transition between home and school has always remained seamless and school has just been an extension of our family life for all these years. We have watched our son develop into a confident, well balanced, fun loving young man, discovering and believing more and more in his own abilities... what greater gift can anyone give a child than the ability to truly believe in themselves, their capabilities and their future. The school environment in which he has spent most of his formative years, has nurtured him and allowed him to grow into the person he has become, importantly, allowing his witty, laid back personality to stay intact whilst continuing to learn; I know one or two teachers have found this frustrating at times but have found a way to work with him, much to his benefit. Lincoln Minster School has helped both our son and daughter beyond all measure to become well rounded people, ready to go out and make their way in the world, and for that opportunity we thank you all from the very bottom of our hearts.” Year 11 Parent, 2013
