Year 11 pupils enjoyed a visited from Lincoln Street Pastors as part of Health and Wellbeing PSHCE curriculum.
The Lincoln Street Pastors are a Christian Charity who provide support and care for those who are vulnerable whilst frequenting bars and clubs in town centres. They assist those who are drunk, provide basic first aid and assist door staff in helping anyone at risk of harm/abuse.
Tom, who is part of the team, spoke to pupils about his work and volunteered a pupil to wear his Street Pastor coat to show us all of the equipment carried whilst out on the streets helping people. Tom went on to explain the risks of drinking alcohol, especially in relation to consent. He discussed the ways in which young people can keep themselves safe as they begin to negotiate the adult world of pubs and nightclubs. An informative and well received PSHCE session.
