The Sunday Times Parent Power Top 100 Independent Preparatory Schools has listed Lincoln Minster Preparatory School for the first time. The rankings are based on Key Stage 2 SAT’s (Standard Attainment Tests) results, in which Lincoln Minster Preparatory pupils have achieved results well above the national average across all three subject areas.
Lincoln Minster School, ranked 90th in the Sunday Times listing, achieved the following percentage of pupils meeting the new expected standard in their SAT’s results:
- Reading: 93% (national average 66%)
- Mathematics: 86% (national average 70%)
- Grammar, punctuation and spelling: 89% (national average 72%)
Parent Liz Ward has two children attend the Preparatory School, she said: “A well-deserved attainment for the Prep School. All the staff are committed to helping the children achieve their best, but it is also the friendly and supportive environment that makes the school such a success.”
Continuing the school’s reputation for being at the forefront of academic achievement in Lincolnshire, pupils have achieved 100% pass rate in the 11 Plus examinations this year too.
