On the 27th September, our Year 11 GCSE Geography students enjoyed fantastic Indian summer weather while studying Europe's fastest eroding coastline at Hornsea in East Yorkshire.

The field trip was to prepare for the students' Controlled Assessment Fieldwork Investigation. We measured rates of erosion, evaluated the effectiveness of coastal defences and interviewed holiday home residents about the practical consequences.
