Outdoor Learning at Lincoln Minster Pre-Prep

We are very excited to be able to develop outdoor learning provision this year and already have many stimulating activities planned this term.

Regardless of the weather, we will be accessing the outdoors and encouraging the children to work together in a variety of ways.

The benefits of outdoor learning are diverse and have been proven to have a direct link to a child’s academic and social/emotional development. Current research has proven that it is the best place for children to practice and master physical skills, build up their immune systems, practise problem solving skills and leads to more advanced language skill development.

This provision will be for all children at the Pre-Prep school with Mrs Katy Medley organising activities for the nursery children and Miss Becky Skelton taking responsibility for the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. We will work closely together to ensure continuity and progression across the year groups.

Look out for pictures of the children venturing outdoors on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
