Exploring art treasures
The Art Department runs two study trips on a biannual basis:
Paris Study Trip
This four-day trip to Paris gives students studying GCSE and A-level Art the opportunity to experience the culture of this beautiful city and its artistic treasures. We visit both permanent collections and museums, such as the Louvre and the Musée D'Orsay, alongside temporary current exhibitions that often link to students' current work
London Study Trip
Again this is a residential trip to a capital city, visiting galleries and museums. We also encourage students to research exhibitions that relate to individual programmes of study.
In addition to these study trips, we regularly visit local galleries such as The Collection, The Hub in Sleaford and the The Sam Scorer Gallery. These visits prove to be invaluable to Personal Investigation at A level and plans are underway to take students to The Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
