Charity Efforts by Year 9 Pupil Recognised

Charity efforts by Year 9 pupil

Emily R in Year 9 has been praised for her charity efforts in supporting local action group Compassionate Lincoln.

In a letter of thanks from the charity, Emily was recognised for the work she did collecting toiletries for those in desperate need in refugee camps in Syria.

After seeing a request from the local charity for donations, Emily was inspired to help. Of her own initiative, she created posters that she delivered to each house in her neighbourhood and around school. She realised that together with others, she could make more of an impact for those who need it the most.

Emily’s courageous act of kindness saw huge numbers of donations delivered to the collection point for the charity and her positive work has been commended in writing from Compassionate Lincoln.

A huge well done to Emily for her charity efforts in supporting such a worthwhile cause.
