Evie impressed organisers and won the under 16’s section of the competition, hitting a total of 7 clays out of 10.

The shoot was organised as part of a large summer fundraising event raising money for the Anthony Nolan Trust. Evie enjoys shooting and has developed a keen eye for hitting a target having previously participated in clay shoot and air rifle events.

Clay shoot organiser and local farmer, Steve Wilkinson, commented on Evie’s shooting success saying that she “did unbelievably well, hitting more clays than many of the adults”.

As part of the event, Evie also helped to organise a family fun quiz that welcomed over 130 people, devising questions and brainteaser challenges. The summer event  – planned by a friend of Evie’s family – raised over £3000 in total for the Anthony Nolan Trust.

Evie was delighted with the success of the event, she said:

“The evening was great fun and it was fantastic to see how much money was raised for the Anthony Nolan Trust. I loved having a go on the clay shoot and couldn’t believe it when I had won my section.”

Well done to Evie on her shooting success and supporting such a worthwhile cause.
