Lincoln Minster School pupils have enjoyed chart success as part of the group ‘The Youngstars’. Their single Tears of the World is top of the UK’s Official Physical Singles Chart Top 100 for November 18 to 24. Tears of the World, which carries a simple but highly emotive message about the harsh realities of war, is written by Jim Dooley of 70s pop group The Dooleys.

LMS pupils Katie Care, Alex Grogan, James Read, Emily Roe, Georgia Stone and Harry Twelves all took part in the project which aims to raise funds for the International Bomber Command Centre.

Once complete next summer, the 10-acre site, now under construction, will feature a digital archive, exhibitions, education centre with special needs facility, peace gardens and the Spire Memorial and Walls of Remembrance, listing the names of all 58,000 dead of Bomber Command from the conflict.
