A huge well done goes to everyone who took part in the Wellow Cross Country Meet on Friday 23rd September.

Nerves were high before the races began, especially for those girls and boys who had not competed in a cross country competition before.

The team captains, Isaac Mason and Sophie Hutchinson, prepared the U9 and U11 teams very well with a thorough warm up before the races and did a fantastic job of encouraging all competitors. Mrs Hall went home an extremely proud PE teacher on Friday evening after Lincoln Minster produced some fantastic results. The Under 9 girls team came third, The Under 9 boys team came second, the Under 11 boys team came second and the Under 11 girls team came first. Not only this, but there were some fantastic individual results also.

For the under 11 girls, Louisa Muir came second and Lucy Mathew came third. Ashleigh Watt came in second place in the Under 9 girls race. A few other Lincoln Minster competitors came within the top ten places, which is a fantastic achievement.

All pupils represented Lincoln Minster well and worked extremely hard. It was lovely to witness the pupils supporting each other when those racing ‘hit a wall’ and this encouraged all competitors to push on and achieve the best they could. Well done to all competitors, you all worked extremely hard. Bring on the next Highfields Cross Country Competition.
