BREAKING NEWS: LMS Alumnus, Ted, offered a place at Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London!
The experience of performing to an audience can be life-changing
Working as a cast, in which the finished product is more important than individual ego, is empowering and confidence building. The discipline required, whether it is as performer, technician or designer, is an excellent preparation for the world beyond school. Our specialist teachers encourage a sense of professionalism and production values, which results in work of a very high quality. It is also huge fun and an unforgettable part of school life for those involved.
Past productions have included adaptations of The Odyssey, and Ernie’s Incredible Illucinations, by Alan Aykbourne; Shakespeare productions at Lincoln Drill Hall including Hamlet, Macbeth, King Lear, Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Twelfth Night; Our Country’s Good; Guys & Dolls; West Side Story; Pillars of the Community; Oliver! The Crucible; A Christmas Carol; and Pride and Prejudice.
Set, lighting and sound are designed and operated by students. We pride ourselves on promoting professional production values and inclusivity. All plays are chosen to suit the abilities and strengths of those involved.
We also offer the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) programme and pupils from as young as Year 1 are regularly entered for examination in Verse and Prose, Acting and Devised Performance.
“I can sincerely say that no other skill has been as academically and professionally useful to me as the ability to address individuals and groups with the poise and confidence that came from studying theatre.”
Drama at Lincoln Minster School has helped many of our past students in their careers – visit our alumni profiles.
Each year, we are proud to award Scholarships to pupils who are capable of extremely high levels of achievement and who we believe will make a significant contribution to the life of the school.
We also offer highly-regarded LAMDA exams, contact email@example.com us to find out more.
My study mentor is so helpful and encouraging in supporting me in subjects I struggle with, and she is really approachable. I love being in the senior production, where you work as a team. My lessons in Psychology are exciting, interesting and we learn so much. Being in the prefect team has given me so many opportunities.Pupil, 2018

Great communication between staff and students, as well as parents. Mr. Wallace and the faculty know each child by name and take the time and effort to invest in them. Our boys are doing very well, and the quality of their education is stellar.Parent, 2018
