Friends of Lincoln Minster School (FoLMS)

Friends of Lincoln Minster School (FoLMS) allows those who have a connection to the school to offer their support and enjoy a range of social and fundraising events.

All parents are automatically members of FoLMS and are warmly welcomed to get involved. From teachers and parents to alumni and the local community, we firmly believe in working together; supporting the school to offer a truly excellent ‘education for life’.

Working together to enrich the school for the benefit of the children.

Get involved as much or as little as you like; whether it’s helping at school events or organising a Summer Ball. Previous projects have involved a fundraising initiative for an outdoor classroom that the youngest pupils at Pre-Prep now enjoy, holding activity afternoons and creating a Reading Room for the Senior School.

A Message from the Headteacher

Mark Wallace

“Lincoln Minster School is very proud of the positive rapport it fosters amongst parents and staff. We welcome parental support and involvement in our busy calendar and in the daily life of the school itself.

“It is not long before many new parents realise that it is not only their children who have joined Lincoln Minster! Parents too are an important part of our school community and whatever time you have available to contribute to school life is welcome.

“The Friends of Lincoln Minster School (FoLMS) has provided an excellent support system for the school for many years. FoLMS is a friendly and informal voluntary body of parents who have children at the school. Each year FoLMS holds events that raise funds to provide our pupils with extra facilities. All parents are automatically member of FoLMS and are always welcome to turn up to any of the meetings.”

"It's all about getting to know the school and getting your voice heard about the things that matter to you and your child."

"I like that I get to know the staff as people; it makes a big difference to me as a parent."

Friends of Lincoln Minster School needs YOU!

Following our successful relaunch at the end of the last academic year – you might have seen us manning the refreshment stalls at the sports days and you may even have seen Mr Wallace get ‘splatted’ at the summer fete – we are looking for a more up to date logo for our posters, social media pages and marketing which better describes our partnership with parents, pupils and staff of Lincoln Minster School.

We passionately believe that FoLMS should work for all parts of our school – from the little ones in Nursery, right up to our A level students. Consequently, our aim is to have a logo made up of three shields represent ing Pre- Prep, Prep and Senior and t his is where you can help us!

We are running a competition to find the best shield from each part of the school and the competition is open to everyone to take part in.
