As Autumn fills the air, Reception pupils from our Pre-Preparatory School have been thinking about hedgehogs.
The week started with a story about Percy the Park-Keeper and his hedgehog friend, pupils then compared hedgehogs and owls – looking at similarities and differences. Pupils also enjoyed making clay hedgehogs with pointy noses and ‘loads of spines’.
Pupils were excited to hear that one of their classmates, Noah, had a pet hedgehog at home; Noah’s Mum kindly brought Storm the African Pygmy Hedgehog in for a show and tell.
Pupils were delighted to hear lots of interesting facts and Storm was very patient with all of the children carefully petting his spines!
