It has been a busy half term of squash fixtures for LMS with success across multiple age groups.

Squash coach Fran Wallis reports on the latest fixtures and results:

U19 A team – beat Spalding Grammar school in the group stage 3-2 ,and go through to the next round in the main draw, a fantastic team performance in this very high standard competition.

U19 B team – lost to Spalding Grammar in the group stage 4-1, and will go through to the plate completion.

I would like to congratulate both u19 teams for their tremendous efforts in this strong competition, good luck to them both in the next rounds.

Our U19 girls played both their group games yesterday at home at the Lindum against two very strong schools.
We beat Kenilworth school Warwickshire 3-2
We lost to Ackworth school Pontefract 3-2

We now await the next round to see if we progress through to the main draw or the trophy competition, as Ackworth school then beat Pontefract , so all three schools won one out of their two matches. It was all so close, a very good day of squash and a very good around team performance.
