Records tumble at Senior School Sports Day

Sports Day

A wet Senior School Sports Day was held at Lincoln Castle Academy. The morning event was hugely successful with 160 pupils participating in a wide variety of events.

After a hard fought morning of competition and fun, there were only 5 points which separated the winning team. Spitfire were just pipped to the post by Hawk who won with an impressive 396 points.  It just goes to show that every point counts and every students’ contribution was important!

New records were achieved by the following:

Senior boys shot putt – Robert Mair

Senior boys discus – Mitchell Bailes

Senior girls 1500m Millie Hill

Senior girls Long Jump – Millie Hill

Senior girls 800m Millie Hill

Year 10 hurdles – Ewan Hodgkison (boys) Orlagh Kirkwood (girls)

Year 9 hurdles – Cieron Wolverson (boys) Gemma Wortley (girls)

Year 8 girls 1500m – Grace Sullivan

Year 8 girls 800m Flora Hodgkison

Year 8 hurdles Jamie Staunton (boys) Grace Sullivan (girls)
