During the last week of April, Year 6 got out their wheels and took part in Bikeability (Young Cyclist Training Course).
The course consisted of 2 days training both on and off site. The first day consisted of a cycle check, an assessment of riding skills on the playground and some on road cycling. The second day consisted of basic manoeuvres at local road junctions. These included left and right hand turns and over taking parked vehicles.
All of the year sixes came prepared to take part come wind or shine, and at times the weather was quite testing.
Mrs Hall was very proud of all the year sixes, as the instructors commented on how hard the pupils had worked and how polite they were.
Well done to all those that took part.
All pupils passed both parts to the course achieving both their Level 1 and Level 2 certificate, which they will receive in the talents assembly this week.
A big thank you also to the Bikeability instructors who provided very thorough training and made the course fun.
