We strive to be as inclusive as possible, with entrance testing at Year 7 used primarily to aid with monitoring progress and help with setting rather than selection. This involves a cognitive ability assessment. We also use school reports and interviews at Year 7 and other Senior entry points to help assess suitability, while placing real value on meeting the family – especially in the Prep School. Finally, we invite prospective pupils to enjoy a taster day with us.
Our main entry points are Reception, Year 7 and Year 12. At all stages, the most important factor is not any particular ability level, but rather our expectation that pupils will work to the best of their ability and embrace the ethos of the school.
