“Since leaving Lincoln Minster after 11 years of studying there, I moved to Spain to pursue my A Levels at The English International College in Marbella. After two amazing years in the sun, I am now back in England, studying Geology at Keele University.
“Since I attended LMS for most of my school career, it’s safe to say that I wouldn’t be the person I am today without my experience there. However, I feel as if the teachers I had during my time at LMS are truly what helped me get to where I am today, with Mrs Maltby, Mr Bayliss, Mrs Glenn-Bachelor, and Mr King deserving honorary mentions.
“The school trips I went on, from the York trip in Year 3 all the way up to the Iceland trip in Year 11, were highlights of my school career. The Iceland trip in particular, as its geological nature planted the seeds in my mind to consider a degree in Geology. However, my favourite memories lie in the seemingly mundane moments. Banter in form time, laughing hysterically with (at) Mr Cochrane in Maths, and Mr King’s cheesy computing jokes are among my fondest memories of my time at LMS.
“My advice to current pupils would be to take every opportunity the school offers you, work hard, and most importantly, have fun!”
