Russell Group and Oxbridge
The majority of our pupils go on to study at a Russell Group or Oxbridge university. We aim to ensure our pupils have the support, skills and grades needed to meet the requirements of the highest-ranked universities in the UK, and around the world.
We regularly achieve in the region of 96% of all pupils gaining entry into their first-choice university, as well as having managed to secure places on competitive apprenticeships with companies such as Siemens and BAE Systems.
Sixth Form study is challenging but immensely rewarding. The expectation is that our pupils will become increasingly enterprising and emerge as skilled, knowledgeable and competent independent learners.
Careers education, information advice and guidance are more than just deciding a job – it is a lifelong process that is influenced by their interests, abilities and passion.
We recognise how important it is for pupils to understand and appreciate the options available to them and have the confidence and ability to pursue their own realistic pathways. By helping individuals to recognise their strengths and aptitudes, students are empowered to make their own well-informed decisions with support from the school and their parents/carers.
We are proud that each year a significantly large number of our pupils are accepted to their first choice of university and we are equally as proud of those who pursue a different route whether it be on school leaver programmes or apprenticeships.
We pride ourselves on making every pupils’ boarding experience a happy and productive one and have a range of boarding options to suit every family. Step inside a boarding culture where each boarder – whether termly, weekly or flexi – are all treated as equal members of our boarding family. Boarding at Lincoln Minster is an effective learning and development opportunity, preparing pupils for their life of independence at university.
