Boarding 2010
With the opening of a superb, state-of-the-art Music and Sports Centre (2010) and the growing reputation of the school both nationally and internationally, the school is anticipating an increased demand for boarding places in the coming years. To meet this demand, the school has acquired an additional building set in magnificent mature grounds adjacent to the school and work has already begun making this lovely house ready for the 2010/11 school year.

This adds to the current provision of four houses, all in Lincoln's uphill conservation area. It is vital for our young people to have space to socialise and relax as well as completing homework and music practice! .
Why board at LMS?
For young people keen on their music, the opportunities to derive maximum benefit during these precious school years are unparalleled in this part of the country: at Lincoln Minster School, they can work and play in an environment seeped in choral tradition, learning alongside high calibre musicians.
But it is not just our budding musicians who flourish so markedly; nor is it only parents who want to reduce the ‘downtime’ incurred with daily travel. Very often it is the pupils themselves who want to enjoy a wider set of friends and build lasting friendships. The formerly ‘hidden’ benefits of boarding too are becoming more widely acknowledged as parents recognise the merits of nurturing a degree of self reliance and independence in their children.
Come and be part of it.
With an expanding community of boarders, we have been listening to them and plans for 2010-2011 are quickly taking shape. Some of the most popular activities, such as cinema visits, squash, five-a-side and theme park outings will find a place in the programme alongside some new offerings: a polo club for those who want to develop their equestrian skills, cricket opportunities with the English Cricket Board will also feature strongly, cookery sessions, keep fit, bowling, cycling and rowing and more as suggestions come in.
