Helping children to discover and explore their potential

"Welcome to St. Mary's Preparatory School, the Preparatory School of Lincoln Minster School. Our aim is to provide a first-class education for children between the ages of 2 and a half and 11, within a wonderfully dynamic and inspiring environment for learning.

"First and foremost, we are a child-centred, family school where your child's happiness and learning needs come first. As part of this, we encourage a friendly, caring and sharing approach to one another, teaching tolerance, acceptance and celebration of our individual natures and cultures. We aim to build upon all that is good about traditional values, at the same time as embracing the requirements of the modern world.

"We believe that all children have their own unique talents and gifts that are ready to be discovered; we find great joy in helping them to make such exciting discoveries and to fully explore their potential and abilities. St Mary's Preparatory School children are not afraid to fail, but rather they are encouraged to be confident to always do their best and develop a 'can-do' attitude

"Our school facilities are second to none. Our younger children are based at a secure, purpose-built site inside the historic city walls and within view of the wonderful Lincoln Cathedral. The Upper School is housed in a traditional building attached to the cathedral cloisters, and our older children also benefit from the fantastic, state-of-the-art Senior School resources close by.

"Above all, at St Mary's Preparatory School we have a genuine commitment to bringing out the best in the whole child, helping them to realise their academic, musical, creative and sporting potential.

"I do hope you enjoy looking through our website and please visit us if you are able. We would love to show you our facilities and for you to meet our happy children and staff."
