An education for life.
We always aim to put our pupils first, seeking to ensure that their talents and abilities are nurtured and encouraged to flourish in an environment of support and appreciation.
A learning environment like no other
Set in Lincoln’s Historic Quarter, our Pre-Preparatory, Preparatory and Senior School sites are fully equipped to prepare our pupils for the careers of tomorrow, providing pupils with an inspiring environment in which to fulfil their potential.
Our Pre-Preparatory School consists of a modern building set within a beautiful walled garden overlooked by Lincoln Cathedral. The Preparatory School, a short walk from Lincoln’s Bailgate, has been extensively redeveloped and was opened in September 2014.
Our Senior School site is made up of a number of buildings, both new and old. The main Prior Building was purpose built and opened in 2002 by the former Archbishop of Canterbury, Lord Carey. The sweeping, curved building overlooks the city and boasts fully equipped science labs, art studios, IT suites and our dedicated Sixth Form Centre. Our latest addition, the Harper Building, is dedicated to music and performance and includes an impressive Recital Hall, music practice rooms and a fully-equipped Drama Studio, as well as a Sports Hall.
The sight of our pupils in their distinctive blazers and staff in their academic gowns processing to the Galilee Porch at Lincoln Cathedral for our End of Term Services and Prizegiving Ceremonies is a special one; a reminder of how important a sense of tradition is in a modern world and a modern school.
We set great store by the quality of our teaching, which means we seek the highest possible calibre of teaching staff, and then support them in every way we can – to the benefit of all pupils, whatever their academic aptitude.
We have exceptional exam results across all ages groups, find out more.
Strong pastoral care
Today’s young people inhabit a world that presents more options and fewer moral guidelines than were available to previous generations, so we do everything we can to provide help and guidance wherever it is needed.

We invest in a wide variety of games and sports and encourage all pupils to participate in them – as an end in itself, and as preparation for the wider competitive world.

A sense of community
In keeping with our general emphasis on spiritual values, we strive to ensure that the whole school fully engages staff, pupils, alumni, parents and local supporters as a happy, extended community.
An exciting place to learn
Lincoln benefits from two successful universities and a large further and higher education college, making it an exciting place to learn once pupils complete their studies at Lincoln Minster School.
