A familiar and highly respected member of the school community, Mrs Charlotte Brigden has been appointed Head of Lincoln Minster School.
Lincoln Minster School is delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs Charlotte Brigden as Head.
A familiar face to pupils, staff and families, Mrs Brigden has led the school as Interim Head since January and has been an integral part of the Lincoln Minster community since joining in 2023 as Deputy Head (Pastoral). She later became Senior Deputy Head, bringing energy, warmth and a deep commitment to the wellbeing and success of every pupil.
Throughout her time at Lincoln Minster School, Mrs Brigden has been a passionate advocate for the school's values and a champion of the opportunities that help our young people flourish both inside and outside the classroom. Her leadership, dedication and ambition for the school have earned the respect and admiration of colleagues, pupils and parents alike.
Before joining Lincoln Minster School, Mrs Brigden spent eight years at Haileybury and previously taught at Sandringham School. She attended Oakham School before studying Human Geography at the University of Exeter and is currently completing a Doctorate in Educational Pastoral Leadership at the University of Nottingham.
Reflecting on her appointment as Head, Mrs Brigden said: “I am delighted to have been appointed Head of Lincoln Minster School and am looking forward to leading our community into its next chapter. Over the summer my husband and I will be moving up to Lincoln with our twin daughters and our two golden retrievers ready for the girls to start in the Prep School in September and ready to join in every aspect of school life. I want to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your support over the last few months during my time as Interim Head. Working with you and your children has been a real privilege, I look forward to many more successful years in post here.”
Mrs Brigden takes up the role with immediate effect and is looking forward to continuing the work already underway across the school. Together with pupils, staff and families, she will continue to build on Lincoln Minster School's many strengths while embracing new opportunities for growth, achievement and innovation.
