Top 20 in The Boys LTA National Rankings (2021/2022)


Lincoln Minster School is proud to announce a top 20 finish in the Boys LTA National Ranking in 2021/2022 with the school finishing in T18. 

With over 60,000 children taking part in LTA school competitions it is a testament to our pupils hard work, dedication and team work to get such a fantastic finish in the national standings.

Acing your serve and education

Tennis Programme w_basslineOur Tennis Performance Programme has been specifically designed to allow pupils to train and play in a high level of tennis environment in conjunction with their academic studies.  

Pupils on the programme have a unique opportunity to further their whole game through technical, tactical and strength & conditioning, with the desired intention of providing pupils with the best possible advantages when competing in local, regional, and national singles and team competitions. We intend to allow all pupils on the Tennis Programmes to be active in a pupil centred environment whereby pupils learning and progression comes first.

Lincoln Minster School are proud to have a unique and dedicated partnership with Bassline Tennis. 

Bassline provide Lincoln Minster School with a dedicated and tailored experience and provide the school with fully trained, skilled coaches. This allows our pupils to improve their tennis game in an environment dedicated to tennis allowing pupils to reach their full potential.

 

Tennis Success

We are thrilled to announce that Holly H, recently named Junior Girl of the Year by Lincs LTA, has achieved remarkable success at the Tennis Europe Junior International Tournament Category 1.

Holly won convincingly with a score of 6-1, 6-4 and was the only unseeded qualifier to advance to the main draw. Holly also go to meet Aryna Sabalenka - ranked No. 5 in the world!

Our Aims

We have a clear set of aims and objectives on the tennis programme. These are as follows: 

  1. Allow for a nurturing and inclusive environment tailored to the needs of each pupil and coaching group.
  2. Engagement with pupils to enhance their holistic approach to tennis in order to improve training and game play.
  3. Provide pupils with two mornings per week or after school coaching sessions throughout the Michaelmas, Lent and Trinity Terms.
  4. Utilise pupils’ skills during fixtures against other schools, universities, clubs and regional and national LTA recognised events.
