Personal, Social and Health Education at Lincoln Minster

Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) is an important part of the curriculum at Minster. A team of skilled staff teach lessons on health and social wellbeing, citizenship, careers and financial awareness across the school and their teaching is often supported by visiting speakers.

Students have recently enjoyed a visit by Bonita Norris. In 2010, at the age of just 22, Bonita, a novice climber, became the youngest British woman to climb Mount Everest.  Since then, she has undertaken 4 other expeditions to the Himalayas and also completed a ski expedition to the North Pole.  Bonita shared with pupils her efforts to raise the almost £50,000 needed for her to make the expedition to Everest as well as an inspiring account of her climb to the peak. Her story left us all thinking about the importance of aspiring to a goal and having the determination and commitment to achieve it.
