Flexi boarding at Lincoln Minster School offers a flexible weekday boarding option in Lincoln, designed to support modern family life. Available Monday to Thursday nights, flexi boarding is open to pupils from Year 5 through to Sixth Form and provides a structured, supportive environment while maintaining a strong connection to home.
Whether supporting busy family schedules, reducing travel time, or helping pupils build independence, our flexi boarding provision supports wellbeing and academic progress while giving families the flexibility they need within a trusted independent school setting.
Our boarders make friends for life through a whole range of fun and exciting activities and adventures, including cinema nights, baking nights, go karting, crazy golf, jewellery making, Lego masters competition, Scalextric grand prix and pamper nights.
We offer two flexible ways to access boarding:
Fixed Weekly Boarding Families can book a set night each week for a half term, giving pupils consistency and routine. Each pupil benefits from their own bedroom and personal space, allowing them to settle in and feel at home.
Ad Hoc Boarding For greater flexibility, parents can also book ad hoc boarding nights, subject to availability. This is ideal for changing schedules, one-off commitments, or when additional support is needed during the week.
Our weekday boarding environment is designed to balance structure, wellbeing and independence.

Flexi boarding is priced at £75 per night, with discounts available for multiple bookings.

Our boarding house is available to hire at weekends and during school holidays, offering a unique stay in the heart of Lincoln.
Set in a central Lincoln location with views of Lincoln Cathedral from the accommodation, it provides a comfortable and well-equipped base for group stays, residential courses or visiting organisations.
Guests benefit from being within walking distance of:

Charlotte joined Lincoln Minster School in 2023 from Haileybury College. She has experience as a Senior Girls Housemistress and Designated Safeguarding Lead as well as teaching Geography, coaching sailing and leading the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. Charlotte is passionate about education and is currently studying for a Doctorate of Education at Nottingham University.

Mrs Watson works at the Prep School, having joined Lincoln Minster School in 2018, and has many different roles. She is a teacher and teaches all year groups at Prep as well as supporting other staff. Mrs Watson supports children with Special Educational Needs throughout the school and is also the Crèche Manager. She enjoy all kinds of music and loves dancing as well as visits to the theatre. Mrs Watson has one daughter, Poppy, who is currently at Senior and has been at Lincoln Minster School since she was 2 years old.
Flexi boarding is a flexible weekday boarding option that allows pupils to stay overnight at school on selected nights, while still living at home. It offers structure, routine and support during the week, without the commitment of full-time boarding.
Flexi boarding is available Monday to Thursday nights during term time.

You will be sent joining instructions with full details of how we run boarding life at LMS and with information about what your son/daughter needs to bring with them when they start boarding.
Bedding will be provided so essentially you need to pack for school and a night away.
