It was a fantastic weekend of rowing success for our talented Lincoln Minster School students, who represented LMS with pride on the water at Ancholme in Brigg last Sunday.
Our girls’ coxed quad secured an incredible 1st place victory, with huge congratulations going to Mia B, Charlotte T, Lily H, and Savannah W. Their perseverance and teamwork paid off brilliantly, especially impressive considering they only began rowing in April!
Meanwhile, our boys’ double, Harry S and Jack P, delivered a strong performance to claim 2nd place. The pair have been progressing through British Rowing’s
Learn to Row (L2R) scheme and have been rowing for just a year, making this result a remarkable achievement.
One proud parent shared:
“We were immensely proud… the crew have worked hard and it was just fabulous to see how strong and assured they were — indeed flying the flag for LMS too!”
Charlotte Bridgen, Lincoln Minster School Rowing Club Lead, added:
“We were absolutely delighted with the impressive results of all our students and look forward to building on this success throughout the season ahead. We also look forward to seeing you all at the Regatta season this summer!”
A huge thank you to our incredible students, supportive parents, dedicated staff,
Lincoln Rowing Club for helping make this such a memorable weekend.
We’re already looking ahead with excitement to our next challenge York Small Boats in November!
