Lincoln Minster School

Results & Reports

We are committed to offering the very best quality of teaching, learning and academic support. We aim to make sure that each pupil reaches their personal best by providing an enriching, engaging and challenging study programme.

The achievements of our pupils position us as one of the top independent schools in the East Midlands.

We do not believe, however, that results alone show the true measure of a school. We are committed to the individual needs and enthusiasms of each pupil. It is far more important that each individual achieves their very best.

A truly excellent education is about much more than academic achievement alone: it is also about developing a passion for learning, capacity for independent thinking, moral values, self-confidence without arrogance, and a broad range of interests that extend beyond the confines of the classroom. In short, it is developing the whole person, to ensure that each pupil leaves here ready for the challenges that lie ahead.

This year, 12% of all A Level and Level 3 grades were awarded A* (2.4% above the national average), while 79% of grades were achieved at A*–C. Students have secured places at a range of prestigious universities, including Durham University, the University of Warwick, the University of Exeter and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, to study subjects such as Accounting and Finance, Computer Science, Economics and Stage Management and Technical Theatre.
