Office Administrator (Senior School)

 

Required: September 2020

Hours: 40 hours per week

0900 – 1700, Monday to Friday

Salary: From £8.90/hr

Lincoln Minster School is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 2 to 18. The school is set over three sites in the heart of Lincoln’s historic Cathedral quarter.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Office Administrator to join our support team based at the Senior School. The role will be required to provide general Reception and administrative support to staff and pupils, work in liaison with staff across our Pre-Preparatory and Preparatory Schools and communicate with our parents and external visitors.

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong team ethic. A flexible attitude to work and a ‘can do’ attitude are essential, along with an ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, parents and visitors to the school. Previous office experience is essential along with proficiency in IT and computer software packages.

Previous experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage.

Please note this position is 52 weeks therefore you will be entitled to 25 working days annual leave per year plus 8 statutory bank holidays. Holidays must be taken out of term time.

Hours: 35 hours per week, 0730 -1430 and 20 hours per week, 1400 -1800

Monday to Friday; Term time only, with the requirement to work inset days.

Gap Year Student: Resident Boarding Assistant

 

Required:  September 2020 for the academic year 2020-21.

Hours:  30 hours per week during term time, worked on a rota. Plus, on call duties as and when required.

Salary:  £5,000 per annum, plus accommodation and meals during term time.

Lincoln Minster School is an independent, HMC co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 2 to 18. The school is set in the heart of Lincoln’s historic Cathedral quarter in uphill Lincoln. Our boarding community is lively, inclusive and culturally diverse with three boarding houses looking after pupils from our prep and senior schools.

We are seeking to appoint a part time Gap Year Student to work as a Boarding Assistant. The successful candidate will be a permanent resident in one of the school’s boarding houses and will be required to take a full and active part in the boarding community.

The role will involve supporting the boarding children during evening study periods, escorting/accompanying them on trips and visits, escorting them to/from airports at the beginning and end of each term, and supporting the Housemaster/Housemistress with the general day to day administration and care of the children.

This role is intended to suit recent graduates who have an interest in pursuing a career in education.
