Receptionist/Office Administrator

 

Required:  January 2021

Hours:   17.5 hours per week/14:30 – 18:00 Monday to Friday; Term time only, with the requirement to work INSET days.

Salary:  From £9.30p/h

Lincoln Minster School is an independent, co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 2 to 18. The school is set over three sites in the heart of Lincoln’s historic Cathedral quarter.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Office Administrator to join our support team based at the Senior School. The role will be required to provide general reception and administrative support to staff and pupils, work in liaison with staff across our Prep and Pre-Preparatory Schools and communicate with our parents and external visitors.

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals with a strong team ethic. A flexible attitude to work and a ‘can do’ attitude are essential, along with an ability to communicate effectively with pupils, staff, parents and visitors to the school. Previous office experience is essential along with proficiency in IT and computer software and packages.

Previous experience of working in a school environment would be an advantage.

Examinations Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a professional and dedicated Examinations Assistant to support the Examinations Officer in effectively running exams within the Senior School. The role will require you to have good levels of organisation and a keen eye for detail. You will be expected to work independently, taking the initiative where required and a degree of flexibility will be needed, especially around the time when external exams are running. Confidence in using computers is essential to this role.

Gap Year Student: Resident Boarding Assistant

 

Required: November 2020

Hours: 30 hours per week during term time, working on a rota. (Plus, on-call duties as and when required).

Salary: £5,000 per annum, plus accommodation and meals during term time.

Lincoln Minster School is an independent, HMC co-educational day and boarding school for students aged 2 to 18. The school is set in the heart of Lincoln’s historic Cathedral quarter in uphill Lincoln. Our boarding community is lively, inclusive, and culturally diverse with three boarding houses looking after pupils from our prep and senior schools.

We are seeking to appoint a part-time Gap Year Student to work as a Boarding Assistant. The successful candidate will be a resident for 12 months in one of the school’s boarding houses and will be required to take a full and active part in the boarding community.

The role will involve supporting the boarding children during evening study periods, escorting/accompanying them on trips and visits, escorting them to/from airports at the beginning and end of each term, and supporting the Housemaster/Housemistress with the general day to day administration and care of the children.

This role is intended to suit recent graduates who have an interest in pursuing a career in education.

Teacher of Science (Biology) Maternity Cover

Site Operative

We are seeking to appoint an efficient and hardworking Site Operative to join our busy Maintenance Team. You will be responsible for undertaking grounds and garden maintenance, buildings maintenance, portaging and compliance tasks as directed by the Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor.

The hours of work are 40 hours per week, worked on a three-week rotating 8-hour shift pattern.  There is a requirement to cover rotational weekend on-call duties, and a degree of flexibility to accommodate evening and holiday events.

The role will require you to support a pupil on a one to one basis in the classroom. Working alongside the Classroom Teacher, you will take a pro-active role in supporting the educational needs of the pupil, to enable them to access the curriculum and make progress.

This position is 52 weeks and will be predominantly based at the Preparatory School.

We have an exciting Apprenticeship opportunity within our IT support team. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated apprentice to support the ICT department in providing effective and efficient ICT support to staff and pupils.

We would like you to have:

  • GCSE Math’s and English at Grade C or above.
  • A desire to develop a career in ICT.  
  • Experience in ICT networking equipment and software
  • Ability to install software and hardware
  • Reliable, hardworking and willing to learn.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise workload.
